My Kitchen Rules star and celebrity chef Manu Feildel is ditching his apron and putting on a suit to embark on a new project.

TV chef Manu Feildel has taken a new step away from the kitchen and instead moved towards the boardroom.

The fan favourite is ditching his apron and putting on a suit to impart his words of wisdom to Sydney small business owners in a series of roadshows.

Feildel is partnering with advisory service My Business, speaking at their Sydney roadshows next week about how he’s handled hurdles encountered along the way.

The My Kitchen Rules star made his name running and owning restaurants such as Bilson’s and L’etoile in Sydney.

However, Manu pledged last year that it’s a road he wouldn’t venture down again.

“Never say never, but I think my wife would kill me if I did,” he says. “A lot of things would have to change in Australia for me to get back into a restaurant because it’s a very fickle business,” he told The Sydney Morning Herald.

“The margins are so small nowadays that you have a lot of work that you have to do to be successful.”

However, he shifted scope during the pandemic and launched his own sauce range, By Manu.

The business has doubled profits in the past two years.
