MasterChef was renewed for season 12 back in Aug. 2021, and it’s easy to see why. The cooking competition series continues to be a FOX favorite. And while many thought the season would experience delays due to the pandemic, we’re happy it here just in time for the summer TV season as temperatures are heating up both outside and in the MasterChef kitchen.
Now, this season is not like the others. Dubbed MasterChef: Back to Win, this season will bring 20 previous contestants to give them another chance at the title. As we previously reported, two MasterChef Junior alums (Dara and Shayne) are among those competing, now as adults. A prize of $250,000 is on the line, let’s get cooking!

The season premiere, titled “Back to Win – Audition Battles,” kicks off tonight, Wednesday, May 25, at 8 p.m. ET only on FOX.
