Issuing company's press release

Flameshield, Flametuff and Flametougher are Carrington Textiles' new RU mark FR fabrics

Six fabrics that have also passed NFPA 2112 certification have now been approved by the North American safety certification company Adlington, Lancashire: As part of the company’s commitment to developing products with the highest protection standards, Carrington Textiles has received RU status and its six flame-retardant fabrics have been awarded "Flame-retardant clothing that protects industrial personnel from short-term heat exposure to fire" category. This new safety certification adds to the NFPA 2112 certification that these products have obtained. The fabric provided not only provides additional fire protection, but also has comfort and excellent resistance to electrostatic discharge, ultraviolet radiation, arcing and chemical splash. Flameshield 230 and 280 provide the comfort and humidity control of 100% cotton fabric. The popular products on the market are light, abrasion-resistant and air-permeable. In addition to their high-strength nylon components, Flametuff 220AS, 250AS and Satin 330AS also provide the advantages of high-content cotton blends to create products that can stand the test of time. These fabrics have excellent antistatic properties and 50+ UPF UV protection. Flametougher 280AS also has excellent antistatic properties, combined with CORDURA® technology to achieve long-lasting performance. This product represents Carrington Textiles' next generation of stronger, stronger and more durable flame-retardant overalls. As favorites of the medium and heavy industries, Flameshield, Flametuff and Flametougher provide first-class low-average expected body burn, excellent color fastness, color consistency, and guarantees that they can be industrially laundered during the entire life cycle of the garment. What is UL and what does the RU mark mean? UL is a global safety certification company, approved by the U.S. Federal Agency Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to perform safety testing.

UL supervises the NFPA 2112 test according to specific standards. There are four mandatory tests, including: vertical flame retardancy after brand new and 100 washes, heat resistance test after brand new and washed, heat transfer and flash after brand new and washed After steaming and washing, the clothing shall be tested for fire resistance.

The RU mark or Recognized Component indicates that the fabric has been found to meet the relevant standards and the production unit has passed the UL audit. These fabrics will then be listed in the UL database. Customers who choose Carrington Textiles products from this list can rest assured that they have tried and tested and proved to meet the requirements. This means they can certify their clothing in a faster, simpler and more cost-effective way.

In short, obtaining UL's RU certification means that Carrington Textiles complies with global regulations and consumer expectations for quality, performance and durability.

Carrington Textiles Sales and Marketing Director Paul Farrell said: "As a trusted global company in the textile industry, it is important for us to maintain our fabrics certified to the highest standards. The UL approval of these outstanding fire-resistant fabrics means that we can target the North American market. , Launching products that provide excellent safety to the wearer. Carrington Textiles is known worldwide for providing it."
