Mom threatened to complain about "mixed information" to the nursery after reprimanding her son for peeing in the bushes

A mother threatened to lodge a complaint with her son's nursery because she shut her out, but no one was really on her side.

The woman posted on Mumsnet that she was worried about sending "mixed messages" to her children about where to urinate.

The mother explained that her son had “recently received toilet training”, and when they were “outing and walking but there was no toilet”, such as in a park, she had been “encouraging him to urinate in the bushes”.

But when he did the same thing in the nursery garden, the way the teachers handled it did not impress her.

Mom said: "I picked him up from the nursery a few days ago, and the person who handed over the job said,'Just to let you know Mom, we are in the garden today. He pulled down his pants and pants and weeded the garden. Bushes'.

"The obvious subtext is'This is not allowed.' I do understand that they are more willing to avoid this, but I am privately happy that he did this instead of getting himself wet.

"However, DH (dear husband) and I tried to explain to him that when he was in the nursery, he should tell others that he needed to go to the toilet."

Then yesterday, my mother and her son were in the park, trying to make him urinate in the bushes.

She said: "But he won't, continue running back along the path, looking for other places to go.

"I tried to stop him and let him into the bushes, but he didn't, and it was getting more and more painful until he stopped and weeded the grass in his pants.

“I’m just worried that the information he’s receiving now is mixed. I’m not sure whether to ask the nursery in the same way as'what he said to him when he did this/I’m not sure to regard it as particularly helpful'. Misbehavior in the context of toilet training/whether we can agree on a consensus message for him to move on, or whether it depends entirely on us as parents.

"Obviously, if he did it indoors, there would be no ambiguity, but isn't it normal for a little boy to urinate in the bushes?"

In this regard, the surprised mothers said: "I can't believe you will seriously consider blaming the nursery for this. You can't let your children pee in the garden, it's very unhygienic."

Others said: "I have never peeed in someone else's garden" and "What would you do if you had a girl?"

A mother slammed: "Stop encouraging him to urinate in public, and the problem will disappear. Male rights here are ridiculous. You need to go out better.

"This is what parents of young daughters have to do, because encouraging them to expose themselves in public is obviously unacceptable. A little reminder, boys can't accept it either."

Another woman wrote: "Of course not, you should raise it in a nursery.

"They are nurseries and they cannot let the children pee in the garden. If he is toilet trained, he should be able to move from the garden to the toilet. It must be a few miles away."

The third mother commented: "Of course, you shouldn't significantly improve it. I mean what do you want them to do to make your child pee whatever he wants?

"That's not really undergoing toilet training? The clue is in the name-he should go to the toilet.

"Nursery cannot allow children to learn lessons that they can take off their clothes outdoors or wherever they like.

"Imagine that Ofsted is here, and the little boys pull their pants down in the garden and use it as a toilet, where other children might play with toys.

"What about girls? Should they pull their pants down and squat down? It's just a question on many levels."

Another added: "Of course, he will be reprimanded for weeding outside the garden! He can't do this in school, nor should he do it in the nursery!

"Urinating in the bushes outside is a last resort, you should definitely encourage him to use the travel potty.

"I don't know why you are so dissatisfied with him beating his penis in public and peeing in the garden, why you should praise it!!!"
