After some of the prophets protested in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, the IRCTC changed the saffron uniforms of the attendants serving passengers on the Ramaya Express.

The attendants of the Ramadan Express that arrive at important Hindu pilgrimage destinations such as Ayodhya, Varanasi, Nasik and Rameswaran, all wear saffron uniforms.

This angered the prophets, who said it was an "insult" to Hinduism and demanded its withdrawal, otherwise they threatened to stop the train in Delhi.

"Two days ago, we had written a letter to the Minister of Federal Railways to protest the waiters serving refreshments and food with saffron on the Ramaya Express. Avdeshpuri, the former general secretary of Ujjain Akhada Parishad, told PTI that he was wearing saffron clothing and similar to Sadhu. The headgear and the'malas' (necklace) wearing rudraksha (sacred seed) is an insult to Hinduism and its prophets.

The Indian Railway Catering & Travel Company (IRCTC), which operates this train, said the dress has changed.

It said on Twitter: “Notifying service staff that dress code completely changes the professional dress of service staff.”

It shows the staff wearing cream shirts and dark gray pants, multi-colored headscarves and saffron gloves and masks, which are different from earlier saffron kurta and maroon pajamas and rudraksh necklaces.

Opposing the saffron attire of the waiter serving refreshments and food on #RamayanExpress, the prophet from Ujjain claimed that it was an insult to Hinduism and threatened to stop the train in Delhi on December 12 if the dress code was not cancelled.

After learning of this change, Avdeshpuri told NDTV, "This is a victory for (Hindu) religion and'Sanskrit' (culture)."
